A night of punk rock featuring the trio of bands Foxy, The Phobics and Botox at The Pipeline in Brighton.
Shake Some Acton #161 brings three punk bands to The Pipeline on Saturday 11 July, with Foxy, The Phobics and Botox sharing the bill. It's the 161st night under the Shake Some Acton banner, and the line-up pulls from both sides of the Atlantic.
Foxy are the headliners, coming over from Orange County, California. They're a female-fronted band with a pedigree that stretches across the punk scene: members have played in The Hellflowers and The Damned, and Greg Aista And The Lonely Streets. They're often compared to The Avengers, and this is their first visit to the UK, so it's the first time you'll be able to catch them on this side of the pond.
They're joined by The Phobics, who play fast, slick, down-and-dirty punk rock n' roll. Then there's Botox, a London band known for a raucous, in-your-face take on stripped-down punk rock and roll. Between the three, you've got a California export and two UK acts, all working within the same punk rock territory.
