Royal Pavilion Christmas Banquets

The Royal Pavilion is hosting its Christmas Banquets on 17, 18 and 19 December, with the evening running from 18:30 to 23:00. It's a three-part night that takes you through some of the palace's most famous rooms rather than keeping you in one spot.

Things start in the Great Kitchen, where you're greeted with Roebuck estates premium English sparkling wine. From there, you move into the gilded Music Room for a traditional carol concert. The night ends in the Banqueting Room with a three-course Indian-inspired feast, served beneath the two-storey dragon chandelier.

If you've never spent much time inside, the Pavilion is the seaside palace of the Prince Regent, George IV, whom John Nash rebuilt between 1815 and 1823 into one of the most dazzling and exotic buildings in the British Isles. The banquet follows that same thread, with the Indian-inspired menu nodding to the palace's own Orientalist style. The dress code is festive glamour, so it's a night to dress up for.
