For this tour, titled 'Robert Arkins Commitments – A Celebration of the Irish Saviours of Soul Tour 2026', he is performing with a 9-piece band that travels with him from Dublin. The setlist focuses on the soul classics that defined the film's soundtrack, alongside some of his personal favourites from the Detroit and Northern Soul genres. Based on the current programme, you can expect to hear tracks like 'Mustang Sally', 'Nowhere To Run', 'Try A Little Tenderness', 'Midnight Hour', and 'Destination Anywhere'. He is also including specific numbers such as Eddie Floyd’s 'Big Bird' and 'Walking The Dog', as well as Jackie Shane’s 'Coming Down'.
Beyond the film's legacy, Arkins is currently working on two of his own albums—one featuring original material and another dedicated to the Northern Soul and Detroit sound. It is worth noting that this is a ticketed event, so if you are planning to head down to the venue at 75 London Road, you will need to secure your entry beforehand. It is a straightforward opportunity to see the music from the film performed live by one of its original cast members in a local setting.
