For those familiar with their work, the band emerged during the nineties, a period when they were part of a wave of acts that included bands like Sleeper, Elastica, Garbage, and Lush. Their sound, which they have described as a mix of techno-pop and punk rock, became widely recognised through tracks like 'Ready To Go' and 'Drop Dead Gorgeous'. These songs were staples on radio and MTV at the time, and more recently, their music has appeared in various media, including the series 'Yellowjackets', 'Ted Lasso', and the film 'Captain Marvel'.
The upcoming tour is quite extensive, covering various locations across the UK before and after their Brighton stop. The schedule includes dates in places like the Isle of Wight, Southampton, Kendal, Sheffield, Frome, Birmingham, Leeds, Tunbridge Wells, Norwich, Guildford, Exeter, Cambridge, Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham, Bedford, London, and Bristol. This tour follows the band's recent involvement with the Britpop Orchestra project led by Alex James.
If you are planning to attend the show at Chalk, tickets are available for purchase, with the standard entry price listed at £33.75. It is a chance to see the band perform live as they revisit the material that defined their career during the nineties and their subsequent return to activity in 2013.
