Radiator + Sand

Radiator play The Rossi Bar on Friday 6 November, with Sand on the bill as well. The night is built around Radiator, a post-punk five-piece who've been picking up some genuine momentum over the last few years. They're coming off their latest single, Sunday, which they put out on limited edition vinyl through No Distance Records.

If you're not familiar with them, it's worth knowing where they've come from. Their debut EP, Glass, managed to land in the Top 40 of the Official Vinyl Singles Chart, and they've had support from Steve Lamacq and a BBC Introducing live session under their belt. That's the kind of run that usually puts a band on the radar long before they hit the local circuit, so this is a good chance to catch them in a room where you're close enough to actually see what's happening on stage.

Sunday is the newest thing they've got out, and that's what the night is supporting. It's a limited vinyl release, so if you're into the physical side of things, it's one of those records that's more of a collector's piece than a mass-market pressing. Between that and the earlier stuff, there's enough there to make a full set.

It all goes down at The Rossi Bar, 8 Queens Road, BN1 3WA, starting at 19:30. Tickets are £5.00, which is a guide price, so it's a low-stakes way to spend a Friday night in the city. Radiator headline, Sand join them, and the whole thing kicks off at half seven.
