Photography exhibition by Brighton & Hove Camera Club

The Brighton & Hove Camera Club are back on the seafront with their annual exhibition, running from 9 August to 30 August at the Brighton Seafront Gallery. It's a curated show of physical prints submitted by the club's members, and it's a good one to drift through if you're spending any time down by the water this month.

What you'll find on the walls covers a fair bit of ground. There's wildlife and Sussex landscapes, abstract work, street photography and portraiture, so it's not just one thing — you'll see a few different ways of looking at the same city and county. The prints are all from the members themselves, so it's a real cross-section of what the club is working on.

There's a bit of history behind it, too. The Brighton & Hove Camera Club is one of the oldest active photographic societies in the UK, founded back in 1891, and this seafront exhibition is their annual August tradition. The gallery is on the Lower Promenade, close to the West Pier and the Brighton i360, so it's easy to work into a walk along the front.
