Album launch show: Paul Heaton Unplugged & Up Close with special guest Rianne Downey, promoting his new album Jenius.
Paul Heaton plays Chalk on Thursday 3 December, starting at 8:00 PM. It's an album launch show for his new record, Jenius, and he's billing this one as Paul Heaton Unplugged & Up Close.
The title gives you the best idea of what to expect: stripped-back and close to the front. Heaton is performing unplugged, and the whole night is built around Jenius, so you'll hear the new material in a more intimate setting than a full-band tour usually allows. He's not on his own, though — Rianne Downey is on as special guest, and the night is presented by Resident Music.
There's a bit of a twist to the tickets. Entry-only tickets don't come with a copy of the album, but there are album bundles available to collect at the venue shop on the night, so if you want the record in your hand while you're there, that's the way to go. It's also worth knowing that an earlier show was added to the night because of demand, so if you're planning your evening, it's a good idea to check which slot you're booking.
