Brighton and Hove Pride is marking its 35th anniversary this year, running under the theme 'The Power of Love'. The event takes place on 1 and 2 August 2026 at Preston Park, known as Pride on the Park. Since its start in 1991, the parade has been a central part of the weekend, and this year’s edition reflects on that history while looking ahead. Director Paul Kemp has noted the significance of this milestone for the community. The site will feature various areas, including 'Legends Cabaret', 'Queer Town', and dedicated family zones, with Hayu serving as the main sponsor.

Sunday, 2 August, concludes with Diana Ross as the headliner, performing songs like 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' and 'I'm Coming Out'. Paris Hilton is also scheduled for the Sunday icon slot, noting her participation in the performance schedule. The broader line-up includes Holly Johnson, Leigh-Anne, G Flip, Moonchild Sanelly, Melanie C with a DJ set, Jessie J, Self Esteem, and Five. For those interested in the dance arena, the programme includes sets from The Blessed Madonna, Armand Van Helden, and Purple Disco Machine.
Regarding attendance, the event is expected to draw over 500,000 people. Tickets are currently priced between £58 and £64 for a single day, while a full weekend pass is available for approximately £89. The event remains a ticketed experience, maintaining its focus on supporting the LGBTQ+ community and its allies through a mix of live performances and community-led spaces. The combination of established artists and specific performance slots reflects the scale of the 35th-anniversary celebrations, providing a structured programme across the park throughout the weekend.
