Our Friends Electric With Tia Cousins

Tia Cousins headlines The WaterBear Venue on Saturday 14 November, part of the Our Friends Electric dance night. It's a single-act bill, so she'll be the one holding the room for the evening.

The booking comes from the organisers' own experience: after seeing what they described as an incredible set by Cousins at the Convenaza festival, they decided to bring her to Brighton to play for their friends. That's the whole story behind it, really — a set they liked enough to want to hear again on their own turf.

As for the sound, they describe the night as sitting at the crossroads of techno, acid house, electronic, new wave and electro. It's a broad stretch of ground to cover, and the mix of those styles suggests a night that doesn't stick to one gear. If you're into any of those, you'll find your way in.

It runs from 5:00pm to 11:00pm at The WaterBear Venue, 169-170 Kings Road Arches, BN1 1NB, with tickets at £12.
