Brighton's biggest free outdoor dance festival with workshops, performances, crafts, games, food trucks and market stalls.
Our City Dances returns to The Dance Space on Saturday 25 July, the biggest free outdoor dance festival in Brighton. It's an annual one, put on by South East Dance in partnership with Circus Street and Communitas Dance, and it takes place outside the studio rather than inside, so it's an open-air afternoon in the city.
The day is built around drop-in dance workshops, so you can just turn up and have a go without needing to book ahead or be any particular level. There are performances to watch when you're not dancing, and the rest of the space fills up with stalls, giant games and refreshments to keep you going. It's designed as a relaxed, family-friendly afternoon, so it's as much about hanging around and soaking it in as it is about the dancing itself.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Brighton and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Because it's outdoors and drop-in, it's easy to make your own way through it: you can spend your time in the workshops, stick to the performances, or just drift between the stalls and games. The whole thing is free, and it's held outside The Dance Space in Brighton on Saturday 25 July.
