Two free festive weekends with local makers, street food, live music, wreath-making and a wine and cheese night at One Garden Brighton.
One Garden Brighton is hosting its Winter Festival over two weekends in December: 4–6 and 11–13, from 12:00pm to 7:00pm each day. It's a free entry, so you can just turn up when you fancy it without booking ahead.
The music is led by the Stanmer band, and the workshops are run by Julia Behrens. There's wreath making and a wine and cheese night, and two street food vendors on site every day. Local makers will be there too, so it's as much about browsing and eating as it is about the activities.
One Garden is in Stanmer Park, a free-to-enter destination garden run as a place to connect with nature, with walled grounds and an outdoor bar. The Winter Festival is part of its winter offering and spreads across those two festive weekends, bringing people together with local makers to discover, street food, live music, workshops and plenty of festive food and drink. The venue runs a year-round calendar of workshops and events, from yoga classes and activities for children and families to live music and markets, staged in collaboration with local businesses, creators and producers. The same grounds have played host to other fixtures like the Half-Term Halloween Garden Trail and the Melting Sundown Festival, a late-summer music festival featuring local Brighton and Sussex artists.
