An end-of-the-pier show at the end of the world, featuring cabaret, variety, drag, and dance.
Mr Blackpool is a theatrical extravaganza from award-winning theatre maker Harry Clayton-Wright. Set in a not-too-distant future against the backdrop of climate collapse or late-stage capitalism, this show embeds the history of end-of-the-pier entertainment into a series of turns inspired by the performers' lives and stories. Through cabaret, magic, dance, and drag, this performance serves as cultural archaeology and satire, presented in lurid technicolor and garish seaside spectacle.
