Their sound doesn't sit in one place. It pulls from folk, rap, reggae, ska and world music, and the songs are meant to be sung and danced to rather than just listened to. They describe themselves as a grassroots activist band, and they've become one of the most viral and polarising independent bands in the UK. That polarisation comes from their aim to rise above political, religious and cultural divisions by welcoming everyone to dance and sing together for unity and peace — a goal that's earned them both praise and criticism.
