Live cabaret night featuring world-class drag, burlesque, and vaudeville performers from across the UK and internationally.
Madam Lola's Cabaret & Vaudeville is open on Friday 31 July at Madam Lola's, 83 St George's Road in Kemptown. It's a live cabaret night that brings together drag and vaudeville performers from across the UK and internationally, with the acts blending live vocals, drag, burlesque, aerial and circus artistry, and DJs. There's dancing on the tables and shock acts mixed in, and the whole thing runs from 7pm to 10:30pm.
The venue itself is a Grade II listed building from 1893, and it's the only artist-led cabaret in the UK, built by the artists and technicians who work at the top of British production, from the country's best cabaret rooms to the Brit Awards. It's also the only venue in the city with a full aerial rig, high-spec winch and specialist performer-flying system, which explains why you'll see aerialists and circus acts on the bill. The room is laid out in tiers, with eleven velvet booths, fifteen tables ringing the stage and two upstairs balconies beneath a Gothic dome and illuminated copper spire.

Two of London's leading show directors own and run the place, with a client list that includes The Box, Cirque Le Soir, Emerald Theatre and the Brit Awards, and a cocktail team that arrived from The Box in London. The venue is licensed seven days a week until 2am, so it's easy to keep the night going after the show finishes. Standard tickets are £35, though prices vary. If you're after something for the daytime, there's also Lola's Buff Boys Brunch on Saturdays from 11:30am to 4pm, with live cabaret by Lola's Boys and food from neighbours Kemp Thai.
