An evening of punk music with Brighton bands including Lovedogz, Hekate Heads, The Dolarhydes and Charmian Devi and the Raven.
Lovedogz are playing Pipeline on Friday 23 October, with doors opening at 19:30. It's a Brighton punk night put together by An Alternative Gathering in association with Indigo Bravo, and Lovedogz take the top of the bill. They're a lively punky rock'n'roll band from the city, fronted by Pete Bennett, who'll be out front for the set.
They aren't the only ones on the bill, though. The night brings together four Brighton bands in one go: Lovedogz, Hekate Heads, The Dolarhydes, and Charmian Devi and the Raven. With four acts sharing the stage, it's a full evening of punk from across the local scene rather than a single band playing a long set. Each one comes from Brighton, so the whole line-up is drawn from the city's own.
Lovedogz describe themselves as a lively punky rock'n'roll band, and that's the sound that'll lead the night. Pete Bennett, who fronts the group, is also known as a BB7 legend, so there's a bit of local history behind the front of the stage. The other three bands—Hekate Heads, The Dolarhydes, and Charmian Devi and the Raven—fill out the rest of the bill, keeping the focus on Brighton punk throughout.
