Femme-led DIY punk outfit Limited Ltd performing live at The Rossi Bar in Brighton, with support from Pearll and Sand.
Limited Ltd play The Rossi Bar on Thursday 9 July, bringing their Bristol-based punk to Brighton. They're a five-piece femme-led DIY outfit that formed in 2024, and they describe themselves as a band held together by a shared passion for music and politically motivated approaches to life. Their songs deal with isolation, discrimination and disadvantage, and they talk about wanting to bridge the gap between music and protest.

If you're wondering where they sit sonically, their influences run through Wire, Au Pairs, The Raincoats, Electrelane and Goatgirl — names that lean towards the angular, post-punk side of things rather than the polished end of the spectrum. It's a line-up that suggests a certain kind of energy: jagged guitars, a bit of friction, and lyrics that don't shy away from the political. They're still early in their run, having only come together in 2024, so this is a good chance to catch them while they're still finding their feet.
They aren't playing alone, either. Two support acts open the night: Pearll, a Brighton duo made up of Chloe Drew-Batty and Lyd Thetford, who mix energy and introspective lyrics with rap elements, drawing on 90s Britpop and contemporary indie rock and pop; and Sand, a London alternative rock trio known for guitar-driven sound and honest songwriting, with Pavement and Dinosaur Jr. listed as influences. Between the two, you've got a bit of local Brighton representation and a nod to the slacker-rock tradition coming up from London.
The Rossi Bar is at 8 Queens Road, BN1 3WA, and it's worth keeping in mind that the performance area is down a flight of narrow stairs. Doors open at 19:30 and the music starts at 20:00, with tickets around £6.00.
