Olivier Award winner Layton Williams brings his musical tour to the stage at Theatre Royal, celebrating his 20th professional stage anniversary.
Layton Williams brings his musical tour to Theatre Royal on Wednesday 31 March 2027, part of a nationwide run with a strictly limited number of performances. He's an Olivier Award winner and Tony Award nominee, and if his name doesn't ring a bell, you've almost certainly seen him on stage or screen. He first stepped onto a professional stage at twelve, playing the title role in Billy Elliot the Musical in London's West End, and later played Stephen Carmichael in the TV series Bad Education.
Layton Live marks the 20th anniversary of that debut, and it's built around that journey. He takes the audience from Billy Elliot through to Titanique, with Cabaret, Hairspray, Everybody's Talking About Jamie, the Bad Education classroom and the Strictly ballroom floor in between. It's told through stories, vocals and dance routines, so it's as much about the talking as the singing and dancing.
He's not on his own for this one; he's supported by a company of artists. The show is part of a nationwide tour, and the premium seats come with a pre-show meet and greet with Layton, a photo opportunity and a signed poster.
