If the name sounds a bit off, that's because it's not a band in the usual sense. Kitchen Lover is the name The Chats and Dead Kennedys gave to their child, conceived in the kitchen and named to honour the 1950s and the punk sound that emerged from that era. It's a bit of a family tree for anyone who knows their punk history: The Chats, the Australian four-piece, and Dead Kennedys, the San Francisco legends, are the parents here. The whole thing is a nod to the 1950s and the punk sound that came out of it, so if you've got a thing for that era, you'll get the reference.
