Kiosk is a duo made up of Isabella Alcock, who handles vocals and synths, and Rory Maz Maslen, who plays bass and synths. Their sound is a mix of electro-pop, darkwave, and dream-pop. If you have listened to their 2025 album Dogma or their more recent double single Heaven Sent/Sure Shot—which was produced by DJ Subaru—you will have an idea of what to expect. They lean into a DIY aesthetic, using analog synthesizers and drum machines to create a sound that feels quite grounded in the current electronic underground. It is the kind of music that draws comparisons to groups like PVA or Working Men's Club, focusing on textures and a specific, slightly detached vocal style.
The evening will also feature a performance by Solid Pleasure. This duo, consisting of Neave Merrick and Lucy Milani, brings a different energy to the night, blending elements of italo disco, synth-pop, acid house, and no wave. Given the venue is located at 8 Queens Road, it is a straightforward spot to get to if you are already in the city centre. It feels like a solid option if you are interested in seeing how these two acts interact within the space of The Rossi Bar, especially if you have been following the local electronic circuit or are just curious about what is coming out of the Leeds scene right now.
