Country star Kane Brown brings his stand-up show 'Crowd Work King', an hour of unscripted comedy built around audience participation, to The Old Market.
Kane Brown brings his new show, Crowd Work King, to The Old Market on Thursday 22 April 2027, starting at 20:00. It's his first date back in Brighton since his Don't Listen To Me UK tour sold out, and this one is a bit of a departure from the usual stand-up set. The whole hour is unscripted and unplanned, built entirely around audience participation. Everything is made up on the spot, so no two nights end up the same — if you've seen him before, you're still seeing something new.
That's the thing about crowd work: the audience provides the material, and the comedian does the heavy lifting of turning it into a joke in real time. It's a high-wire act, and Brown has made it the entire point of the show. Guz Khan described him as "the most naturally talented standup with a crowd I've ever seen," which gives you a good idea of where he's coming from. The night is presented by Live Nation and is part of a 31-date tour, with some of the UK's funniest comedians supporting him on the bill.
