Electronic music artist Max Cooper performs his immersive 3D and AV live show as part of his Feeling Is Structure Tour.
Max Cooper plays The Old Market in Hove on Thursday 29 October, with a second night on Friday 30 October. Both start at 18:45. He's touring Feeling Is Structure, and the show is billed as 3D/AV Live, so it's as much about what you see as what you hear.
If you're not familiar with him, Cooper is an electronic artist whose work sits at the intersection of music, visual art and science. He was born in 1980 and raised in Belfast, and he earned a PhD in computational biology in 2008. His sound began to take shape with singles dating back to 2007, and since then he's built a following around the way he brings those different interests together.
His live work leans on sensory immersion. He's done surround-sound shows like 4D Sound and Hyperform, the latter a 360 audio-visual surround dome experience he made with Canadian artist Maotik. He's also collaborated with Future Wife and Zaha Hadid architects. He runs his own label, Mesh, which puts out music that feeds into wider collaborations across the arts and sciences.

Feeling Is Structure is the tour he's on right now, and the 3D/AV Live format means the visuals are an integral part of the performance, not just a backdrop. Standard tickets are £29.50, and both nights start at 18:45 at The Old Market, Upper Market Street, Hove, BN3 1AS.
