A live art exhibition by tattooing couple Seth and Inma Vila SolFire, blending painting, storytelling and live performance, with live tattooing sessions.
Inma and Seth Vila SolFire are bringing Jungle Harpies and African Vistas to The Regency Town House from Wednesday 14 October to Sunday 18 October. It's a live art exhibition that runs across five days, with the gallery open 10:00am to 6:00pm each day. Entry is free, though you'll need to book a ticket through Eventbrite.
Inma and Seth are a tattooing couple who met 25 years ago in a tattoo shop. Between them, they've built up half a century of craft, and they married and started a family in 2021. This show is a tribute to those years, and to family, roots, transitions and rites of passage. It's a multi-disciplinary exhibition that brings together painting, storytelling and live performance, all centred on the 'mark' and how humans use patterns and symbols to communicate identity.
There are two distinct bodies of work on display. Inma's Jungle Harpies draws on classical folklore to celebrate family, female strength and the beauty of birds. Seth's African Vistas looks back at his South African upbringing, using intricate geometric forms and abstract compositions to explore rhythm, movement and connection. Running alongside these is a rare retrospective of the couple's tattooing careers, so you can see where they've come from as well as what they're working on now.

What makes this more than a standard gallery show are the live tattooing sessions that run throughout the exhibition. They turn the act of marking the body into a witnessed, communal artwork, and you'll be able to watch them work in person. The whole thing runs from Wednesday 14 October to Sunday 18 October at The Regency Town House, 13 Brunswick Square, BN3 1EH, open 10:00am to 6:00pm daily. Entry is free, with tickets available via Eventbrite.
