The band formed in 2020 in Athens, Georgia, though their origins trace back to a shared college radio station in North Carolina. The current lineup features guitarists and vocalists Audrey Keelin and Nicholas Byrne, alongside bassist Michael Matsakis and drummer Henry Cutting. They are now based in the Brooklyn DIY scene, where they have developed a sound they describe as a raw and "twinkly" folk-alternative rock. Their music relies on intricate, guitar-driven textures paired with sincere storytelling and soft, evocative vocals, creating a layered melodic style.
They have been active on the road, having recently completed a self-managed tour through the South leading up to SXSW to support their latest material. Their 2024 EP, Lesson, was produced by Colin Miller—who has worked with MJ Lenderman and Wednesday—and engineered by Liam Brand, known for his work with Mount Kimbie, Jeff Rosenstock, and Katy J Pearson. It was recorded at the Angel studios at Abbey Road and released on 22 March 2024 via the independent label HATETOQUIT. More recently, in April 2025, they released two tracks as part of a split with Asheville bands Tombstone Poetry and trust blinks.
The band’s recent work is described by them as an intimate, emotional reflection of their years of movement, growth, and collaboration. While some listings indicate the price may be from £0.00, it is best to verify the specific ticket details on the official venue website. The doors open at 19:30 for the 18+ show, and the performance is scheduled to conclude by 23:00.
