A night of alternative rock and psych music featuring headline act EL CAPITAN and The Groovy Arts Club Band.
If you are looking for plans on Saturday, 13 June 2026, the Pipeline on 6 Little East Street is hosting another edition of the Groovy Arts Club Night. This event series, which has previously popped up in places like London, Norwich, and Essex, is returning to Brighton for its second time this year. The night focuses on a mix of alternative rock and psychedelic sounds, keeping with the vibe they established during their last visit in January.

The lineup for this session features EL CAPITAN as the headline act. They are a three-piece band formed in Brighton last year, blending influences from 60s rhythm & blues, 70s rock and punk, and 2000s alt-rock. Their approach to songwriting tends to focus on the realities of daily life. Joining them on the bill is Mel & Marcel, an alt-pop duo based in Manningtree, Essex. They have recently released a vinyl album titled Invisibly Plain and are known for writing about a range of topics, from the mundane to the more chaotic aspects of modern life. The evening is hosted by The Groovy Arts Club Band, a quartet that plays original New Wave Rock and has been building a reputation across various venues in London and East Anglia.
Doors for the event open at 19:30. If you are planning to head down, the standard entry price is currently listed at £11.00, though it is worth keeping in mind that ticket prices can fluctuate daily. It is a straightforward setup for anyone interested in catching some local and emerging acts in a live setting without the usual fanfare.
