UK indie-folk band Good Habits brings their live show to The Folklore Rooms in Brighton.
Good Habits are bringing their UK tour to The Folklore Rooms on Wednesday 18 November, with the set starting at 8:30 pm. It's a mid-week date in the middle of their run, and they're an award-winning indie-folk band from the UK, so this is one of the nights they'll be playing on their way around the country.
If you're not familiar with them, the sound is a bit of a mix. They describe it as a fusion of folk and jazz, and the instruments they use make that clear: vocals, cello, accordion, synths and drums all sitting together. It's a wide spread for one band, and they're known for blending vivid storytelling and virtuosic musicianship with a groove-driven energy. The folk side comes through in the storytelling and the accordion and cello, while the jazz and synths pull it in a different direction, and the drums keep it moving. They describe the result as a joyous and unexpected fusion.

Because they're touring, this is one of several dates they're playing across the UK, and the Brighton stop falls on a Wednesday night. The set starts at 8:30 pm at The Folklore Rooms, so it's a later start than you might expect for a mid-week gig. If you're planning to head along, keep in mind it's a Wednesday, and the music kicks off half an hour after eight.
