German indie band Giant Rooks, presented by FORM, play Chalk in a 14+ show.
Giant Rooks play Chalk on Sunday 14 February 2027, part of the FORM presents series, which they've billed as 'If Heaven Exists, This Might Be It'. It's a 14+ show, and the room holds 825.
They're an indie band from Hamm in Germany, built around the songwriting of singer Frederik Rabe. Critics describe their sound as mixing Kanyesque hip-hop beats with song structures that bring Bob Dylan to mind, and soundscapes influenced by Bon Iver. It's a bit of a cross-Atlantic blend: hip-hop rhythms, folk-leaning songwriting, and atmospheric textures all in one set.
They've charted singles across Europe and the UK, and supported Louis Tomlinson on the North American leg of his Faith In The World tour. They've played more than 350 shows, selling out venues from Rome to Paris to Manchester along the way. Their debut, Rookery, was the record they describe as freeing them from how things are 'supposed' to be done.
