Don't Tell presents Committee of Sleep, a lo-fi pop band, live at The Rossi Bar. The night is for over-18s only.
Committee of Sleep play The Rossi Bar on Wednesday 4 November, presented by Don't Tell. They're a four-piece lo-fi pop band from the North of the UK, fronted by songwriter Olly Lightfoot. The night is over-18s only, with Heart and Mouth opening for them.
Lightfoot's 2022 cancer diagnosis informs much of the band's lyrical landscape, and it's a presence that runs through the songs rather than sitting on the surface. Joined by Pleasance When Soph on guitar and vocals, their sound drifts between shoegaze, bedroom pop and DIY experimentation, crafting textured, emotionally driven songs. It's the kind of music that sits comfortably in the lo-fi tradition — a bit hazy around the edges, more concerned with mood and feeling than a polished studio sheen.
