The final dancehall day party of the summer, featuring music, people and unforgettable Caribbean vibes.
Dancehall Day returns to The Mesmerist on Saturday 19 September, this time as the summer closing party. It's a daytime session, running from 15:00 to 21:00, so you're in and out while it's still light โ a bit of a change from the usual late-night dancehall run, and one that lets you get your fix and still have your evening.
The organisers have billed it as the last dancehall day party of the summer, and they frame the whole thing around three things: good music, great people and Caribbean vibes. That's the core of it, really โ a dancehall session in the middle of the day, with the music taking centre stage and the crowd doing the rest. If you've been to these before, you know the drill: it's about the sound system, the bass, and the energy of the room.
Because it's a daytime one, it works as a proper afternoon out. You can roll in after lunch and dance through the afternoon, then be home by dinner time. It's a good shout if you fancy a party but don't want to be up until the early hours, or if you're just looking for something to do on a Saturday that doesn't involve a night out. The Mesmerist is on Prince Albert Street, right in the heart of town, so it's an easy one to get to.
