Indie psyche/folk performance by Cryer Mya with support from Moon Idle, presented by Folklore Sessions.
Cryer Mya plays The Folklore Rooms on Thursday 8 October, with Moon Idle opening the night. It's a Folklore Sessions show, and the two acts share a similar space: indie psyche and folk, with Mya taking the main slot.
If you're not familiar, that's a particular kind of crossover. The folk side brings the acoustic, song-led songwriting, while the psyche side stretches it out with a bit of atmosphere and texture. It's the sort of thing that works well in a room like this, where you can actually hear the details rather than having them lost in a big hall. Moon Idle handles the opening, so you'll get two acts from that same indie-folk territory in one evening.
The Folklore Rooms is on North Street, right in the heart of town, so it's an easy one to get to without needing to plan your whole night around it. If you're coming from the lanes or the seafront, it's a short walk across the centre.
