Witchy girl band Creature & Machine play their first Brighton show, supported by Biscuit Club and Static Ella, to celebrate the extended version of their EP 'Evergreen'.
Creature & Machine play their first Brighton show at The Folklore Rooms on Monday 9 November, with support from Biscuit Club and Static Ella. The night is presented by Larkspur Records.
Creature & Machine describe themselves as a witchy, confessional girl band, and this is their first time playing in the city. The show is staged to celebrate the extended version of their EP, Evergreen, which charts a story of survival after an abusive relationship. It's a heavy subject, and the "confessional" tag they use points to the kind of personal, first-person songwriting that sits at the heart of the record.
They're sharing the bill with Biscuit Club, an indie/americana/folk-pop trio who bring three-part harmonies and a tongue-in-cheek energy to their own Brighton debut. With Static Ella also on the bill, it's a triple header that pulls from a few different corners of the indie spectrum. The Folklore Rooms is on North Street, right in the centre of town, so it's an easy one to get to on a Monday night.
