Live show by Coilguns, a band of pissed-off punk and ecstatic noise-rock, at The Green Door Store on Trafalgar Street.
Coilguns play The Green Door Store on Sunday 28 February, with the set running from 19:00 to 22:00. They're a punk and noise-rock outfit that emerged from the DIY hardcore scene, and they've spent the years since carving out their own sound—a mix of pissed-off punk and ecstatic noise-rock.
Much of the band's history is tied to guitarist Jona Nido's own label, Hummus Records, which now gathers up to 150 releases from Swiss artists. Their last two albums were 100% self-produced, engineered and mixed by the band members themselves. Their fourth studio album was tracked in the summer of 2022 at Oceansound Recordings in Norway with producer Scott Evans, and mixed by Grammy nominee Tom Dalgety.
Live, they're known for raw, uncompromising and euphoric performances that play to the dancing freaks and the crowd-surfing weirdos. It's that same energy they'll be bringing to Brighton on the 28th.
