Alternative post-punk gig with Magda, Lindowman and Design Fault at The Green Door Store, strictly for over-18s.
Magda headline The Green Door Store on Tuesday 27 October, with Lindowman and Design Fault on the bill. It's an alternative post-punk night put on by the venue in collaboration with Marshall and Music Venues Trust.
Magda are an alternative post-punk band based between London and Brighton. Their first EP, Hole Punched in Cloud, has built up a cult following, and frontman Max Lambert sets lyrics about sickness and health against the band's noisy, stirring sound — a combination that earned them a BBC Radio 6 'New Music Fix' play.
Lindowman formed this year, with violinist Mina-Mae Alexander and guitarist Charlie West melding mathy dissonance with delicate neo-classical crooning. Design Fault are a Brighton noise punk act. Between the three, the night runs from the more structured post-punk of Magda through to Lindowman's blend of dissonance and crooning, and on to Design Fault's noise punk.
