Live show by the Canadian indie rock duo Cleopatrick at Chalk in Brighton.
Cleopatrick play Chalk on Friday 12 March, starting at 18:30. It's a Brighton date for the Canadian duo, who'll be joined on the bill by special guests.
Cleopatrick is the project of Ian Fraser, and they've built their name around a sound that's hard to pin to one spot — it sits somewhere between garage rock and psych, with a heavy, distorted edge that carries through. They're a duo, which means they've got to make a lot of noise with just two people on stage, and that's exactly what they do. The set will be built around their own material, so it's their songs you'll be hearing throughout the night.
They're coming over from Canada, so this is one of their UK dates. The bill also includes special guests, meaning there'll be more than just one act on the night. It's a Friday evening slot, and the music starts at 18:30, so it's an early one — you'll be out of the venue and back on the street well before the night's really got going.
