Annual musical evening with performances from the Calvary Church community, with all donations going to the local charity Just Life.
Calvary Church is hosting its annual musical evening on Saturday 14 November, from 18:30 to 21:00. It's a showcase of musical and other creative performances put on by the church community, so the whole thing is built around people from within the congregation taking the stage rather than a professional touring act.
Because it's a community affair, the night is open to all ages, and there's an interval with refreshments served halfway through. It's the kind of evening that works as well for a family as it does for a few friends, and you'll see a mix of musical acts alongside other creative turns. The whole thing runs for two and a half hours, so there's plenty of room for a good number of performances.
Every donation made on the night goes to Just Life, a local charity that supports homeless and insecurely housed people across the city. It's a Brighton-based organisation, so the money stays right here in the community. If you're coming along, that's the main thing to keep in mind: the evening is completely free to attend, and everything raised goes to the charity.
