Hard rock sleaze legends Buckcherry and Michael Monroe perform in Brighton to celebrate their latest album release 'Roar Like Thunder'.
On Sunday, 8th March, Chalk is hosting a night that’s been a long time coming for local rock fans. Buckcherry are returning to Brighton after thirteen years, which is quite a stretch considering their history in the hard rock and sleaze scene. They aren't coming alone, though; they’ve teamed up with Michael Monroe for a ten-date UK tour that’s stopping off at our coast. The main reason for this joint run is to celebrate the release of Buckcherry’s latest album, Roar Like Thunder, so the performance will likely balance that new material with the older tracks that defined their sound over the years.

The evening is set to start fairly early, with doors opening at 18:00 and the first performance scheduled for 18:30. It’s a full bill, as the American band Rubikon has been confirmed as the special guest for the entire tour. Having three acts on the lineup means the schedule is quite tight. Since Chalk is located at 13 Pool Valley (BN1 1NJ), right by the coach station, it’s a familiar spot for most of us, but the 18:30 start time is worth noting if you’re planning to head down straight from a Sunday afternoon out in town.
In terms of the practical side of things, standard standing tickets are priced at £38.50 including booking fees, though some platforms show a range between £35.00 and £39.09. There is a strict limit of six tickets per person to keep things fair. For those who are particularly interested in the headliners, there are also VIP packages available which include a meet-and-greet with Buckcherry. The event is open to those aged 14 and over, but anyone under 14 must be accompanied by an adult over 18. It’s a standard policy for the venue, but always good to double-check before booking for a group.
