An interactive treasure hunt and walking tour exploring Brighton's hidden lanes, secret alleyways, and overlooked corners.
If you have spent any time in Brighton, you probably have your favourite routes through the Lanes or the North Laine. However, there is a specific activity running from 1st to 14th June 2026 that approaches these familiar streets a bit differently. It is called the Brighton’s Hidden Streets Treasure Hunt, part of the City Uncovered: Brighton series, and it functions as a mix between a self-guided walking tour and an interactive game.

The premise is straightforward: instead of following a traditional guide, you use your smartphone to receive clues, puzzles, and challenges that lead you through the city. The route is designed to take you away from the main tourist thoroughfares and into the smaller alleyways and corners that are easy to overlook even if you live here. It covers historical landmarks and some trivia about the city, allowing you to move at your own pace rather than sticking to a group schedule. Because it is entirely mobile-based, you can start whenever you like, provided you have a charged phone and a decent internet connection.
Regarding the logistics, the starting point is the Brighton Palace Pier. The activity is organised by Go Quest Adventures Brighton and is priced at £28.95 per group, which covers up to five people. It is worth noting that the route is accessible for wheelchair users, and the organisers recommend it for anyone aged eight and up, making it a flexible option if you are planning an outing with friends or family. Since it is an outdoor activity, comfortable footwear is a practical necessity. If your plans change, you can adjust your booking date up to one day before the event, or request a full refund under the same conditions, though this does not apply to gift card bookings.
