Brighton Chamber's flagship business conference featuring keynotes, workshops and an interactive storytelling session with EastEnders writer Pete Lawson.
Brighton Summit returns to the Brighton Dome on Thursday 15 October, from 9.30am to 6pm. It's the 14th year of Brighton Chamber's flagship business conference, curated by the local business community for the local business community. This year's theme is Think Differently, which the organisers describe as drawing on the wandering, curious mind of the business owner, senior leader and entrepreneur: re-wiring how you think, shifting perspective and questioning innovation for innovation's sake. It's pitched as more than a conference — a flexible, interactive day to step out of the day-to-day, hear fresh perspectives and connect with the people shaping Brighton's business landscape. Last year's attendees described it as mind-opening, unexpected, high-quality, energising, limitless, open, friendly and fun.
There are more than 20 curated sessions across the day, including keynotes from the hospitality sector, entrepreneurs and interactive workshops with local experts. One of the more distinct additions this year is Pete Lawson, an EastEnders writer since 2008, who leads an hour-long interactive afternoon session on the art of storytelling. The day is open to everyone, not just Chamber members, and the organisers have introduced their first ticket ballot to make it more accessible, inclusive and representative of the local business community.
