World premiere of composer Nicholas de Carlo's work Anatom, performed by The Modulus Quartet, at The Old Market.
Nicholas de Carlo brings the world premiere of his new work, Anatom, to The Old Market on Tuesday 8 September, as part of the Brighton Feel Good Festival. It's a string quartet piece, performed by the Modulus Quartet, and it's the first time it'll be played anywhere.
De Carlo is a Sussex-born composer with a portfolio that stretches well beyond this one. Anatom sits alongside Gagarin Quartets, Tempelhof Airport and Berlin Stations, and his work reaches across genres from West End theatre to global advertising, so this is a new addition to a fairly broad body of work. The Modulus Quartet, who'll be the ones bringing it to life, specialise in original string quartet repertoire, and they're known for playing in unusual venues and working with visual arts and multimedia technology.

The performance takes place in In The Box at The Old Market, in the heart of Brighton.
