The content of the evening covers a range of topics related to queer life. Amy plans to discuss things like navigating community, dating, breakups, and queer terminology, alongside practical advice on style and cultural touchstones. The format is structured to include a special guest host, personal stories from Amy, and insights from what she calls 'sapphic elders'. There will also be a Q&A session, which gives the audience a chance to engage directly with the material. The event is framed as a guide to becoming 'DYKONIC' and is aimed at anyone across the spectrum of queer identity, whether you are questioning or have been out for years.
Regarding the logistics, there are two main ticket options available. You can purchase a 'Ticket Only' for £29, or a 'Ticket & Book' bundle for £40. If you are eligible for a discount, those prices drop to £21.50 and £32.50, respectively. Additionally, members of the Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival are entitled to a £2 discount on the full-price tickets. It is a straightforward setup for anyone interested in the themes she is exploring, providing a space for discussion rather than just a standard book launch.
