New Futsal Academy for ages 8-13 in East Brighton.
Active Future Futsal Academy is launching a new futsal academy in East Brighton, with the first session running on Friday 10 July. It's aimed at children aged 8 to 13, so it's a good fit if you've got a primary or early secondary schooler at home who's keen on football.
For those who aren't familiar, futsal is the indoor version of football played on a smaller, hard court with a slightly smaller, heavier ball that doesn't bounce as much as a standard one. Because the pitch is smaller and the ball stays closer to the ground, it's all about close control, quick passing, and thinking on your feet. It's often used as a way to develop a player's technical game — the kind of thing that helps a kid feel more comfortable with the ball at their feet before they move back out onto a full-sized grass pitch.
This is a new academy, so it's starting from the ground up rather than being an add-on to an existing club. That means it's open to all abilities, not just kids who've already played for a team. If your child is just starting out or has been playing for a while, they'll fit in. The age range runs from 8 up to 13, which covers a fair bit of ground across those primary and early secondary years.

If you're looking for a way to get your child into football without having to travel across town, this puts a proper academy setup right on your doorstep.
