Dazzling Killmen play The Anvil on Friday 9 October, presented by Untouchable Promotions. They're the main draw on a bill that includes Human Leather, Helpless and ID ID ID.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, here's the background: Dazzling Killmen formed in the St. Louis area in 1990 around vocalist and guitarist Nick Sakes, drummer Blake Fleming and bassist Darin Gray. They pulled from hardcore punk and jazz, putting out four singles, a live cassette and two full-length albums on the independent label SKiN GRAFT Records. Guitarist Tim Garrigan joined later, after guesting on the Medicine Me single. The band split in the autumn of 1995, and their final album, Face of Collapse, was reissued in expanded editions in 2016 and 2022. Critics and peers have since cited them as an influence on the genres that became math rock and post-metal.
This show reunites founding members Nick Sakes and Blake Fleming for the first time since the split 30 years ago. They're joined by bassist Evan Jagels and Uniform guitarist Ben Greenberg. It's a new line-up, but two of the original members back together after three decades is the core of it.

Doors open at 7:00pm, with the music starting at 7:15pm. General admission is £15.00, plus a £1.50 booking fee. The venue is The Anvil, 15 Holdenhurst Rd, Bournemouth BH8 8EH, and they've noted there is no wheelchair access.
