Medulla Nocte

Medulla Nocte play The Anvil on Friday 4 December, their first Bournemouth show since the band split more than a quarter of a century ago. They're the main act, and the night is presented by Untouchable Promotions, with support opening the bill.

For context, Medulla Nocte formed in Hereford in 1992 and built their following on the UK metal scene after their 1998 debut album, A Conversation Alone, came out on the Household Name label. A second album followed in 2000, and then the band broke up. That was their last show, and it's been over twenty-five years since they played live. Now they've reunited and are bringing their frenzied speed-punk sound back to the stage, with this Bournemouth date as part of that return.

It's a bit of a gap to bridge — from a Hereford start in the early nineties to a Bournemouth stage in 2026 — so if you weren't around for the original run, you've got the discography to catch up on before they play. A Conversation Alone was the one that put them on the map, and the second album rounded out their recording career before the long break. This show is one of the first times they're back out in the live circuit since then.

Doors open at 7:00pm, and tickets are £8.80, which includes the booking fee. The venue is The Anvil on Holdenhurst Road, and there's no wheelchair access to the site.
