UK Careers Fair

The UK Careers Fair comes to the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Friday 9 October, from 10am to 2pm. It's a face-to-face event where companies hiring in the area meet local jobseekers, so instead of sending a CV into a void, you're talking to actual people from the organisations themselves.

The industries on display cover a fair bit of ground. Finance, education, IT, healthcare, tourism, hospitality, retail, banking and pharmaceuticals are all represented, with each stand offering live vacancies, apprenticeships, training opportunities and career advice. The point is to have direct conversations about company culture, benefits and hiring requirements, rather than just reading a job description on a screen. Candidates of all backgrounds, experience and education levels are welcome, so it's as much for someone starting out as it is for someone looking to switch gears.

The venue is the Bournemouth Pavilion and Ballroom, the town's Art Deco theatre. It was built in the 1920s and still keeps its original styling, so it's a bit more of a setting than your average community hall. The fair is part of a wider UK Careers Fair series that runs across five cities over three days, and each exhibiting stand includes twelve months of unlimited job postings on the organiser's Jobs Board, syndicated to Google Jobs, plus a company profile and a dedicated account manager.

Entry is free for candidates, and it runs from 10am to 2pm on Friday 9 October at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre, Westover Road, BH1 2BU.
