World stage premiere of the psychological thriller The Silence of the Lambs at Bournemouth Pavilion, with performances from 19 to 24 April 2027.
The Silence of the Lambs opens at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Monday 19 April 2027, and it's a world stage premiere — the first time Thomas Harris's novel has been adapted for the theatre. It runs through to Saturday 24 April, with performances on the 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th. On the 22nd there are two shows, one at 14:30 and another at 19:30, so you've got a matinee option if that suits you better.
The story is the one you'll know: FBI agent Clarice Starling tracks down the psychiatrist and killer Hannibal Lecter, and the two strike a deal — she'll listen to his insights into the mind of a murderer if he helps her catch 'Buffalo Bill', the serial killer she's hunting. It's a psychological thriller, and the stage version keeps that tension front and centre.
John Partridge takes the role of Hannibal Lecter, and he's a familiar face from EastEnders, Everyone's Talking About Jamie and Cabaret. The adaptation is written by Gina Gionfriddo and directed by Nikolai Foster.

It's a production for adults and thriller fans, and it's recommended for ages 15 and over, with anyone under 16 needing to be accompanied by an adult. There's a fair bit to be aware of before you book: the show includes scenes of threat, violence and murder, strong language, sexual references, mutilation and body horror, as well as psychological intensity and childhood trauma.
