Social ballroom dancing sessions built around live music and a proper tea break, with doors opening at 1:30pm and dancing starting at 2:00pm.
Tea Dances are returning to the Bournemouth Pavilion Ballroom this autumn, with three Wednesday afternoons scheduled: 21 October, 18 November and 16 December. They're social ballroom dancing sessions built around live music and a proper tea break, and they run on a set clock every time. Doors open at 1:30pm, the dancing starts at 2:00pm, tea is served at 3:00pm, and the music carries the room back to the floor at 3:25pm until the session closes at 4:30pm.
Each afternoon has its own musician on the keys. Cameron Lloyd takes the first on 21 October, David Ingley the second on 18 November, and Elizabeth Harrison the third on 16 December. If you're a regular, you'll get three different sounds across the three dates, so it's worth thinking about which one you want to catch, or just coming back for all of them.

Tickets are £10, and that covers the dancing as well as the tea, coffee and cake. It's a proper afternoon out rather than just a quick dance, so you've got the music to keep you moving and the break to sit back and chat. The sessions are held in the Ballroom at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Westover Road, BH1 2BU.
