A warm, witty stand-up show by Susan Calman returning to the stage with tales of life and adventure.
Susan Calman is back on stage at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Sunday 1 November, with her brand-new show Tall Tales. It's a stand-up set, and it marks her first tour in ten years, so there's a fair bit of ground to cover.
That decade is exactly where the material comes from. Calman spends the show looking back at ten years of new experiences, and the list is as varied as you'd expect from her: cruising, driving tanks, cats, and the realities of getting older. It's a warm, witty hour that pulls from her own life rather than just a string of jokes, and since it's been a decade since she last toured, there's plenty of new ground to cover.
Most of us will recognise her from the screen and the radio. She's been a regular on QI, House of Games, and Strictly Come Dancing, and has led her own series like Grand Day Out and Cruising with Susan Calman. If you've only seen her in those formats, this is a good chance to see her in the setting she prefers; she's on record saying the best way to experience her comedy is live on stage, where she often makes a joke about her own height.
