A tribute to Whitney Houston with live music, choreography and vocals, following sold-out UK tours.
Queen of the Night returns to the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Saturday 27 November 2027, with the show starting at 7:30pm. It's a tribute to Whitney Houston, and it's back in Bournemouth after sold-out tours across the country that included an arena run and stages like the Royal Albert Hall and the London Palladium. The production is fronted by Adenike Adewale, who reached the semi-finals of The Voice in 2021 on Team Will.I.Am after singing a Whitney Houston song. Her background is a bit of a conversation starter: she studied law at university, became a choir leader, and still works as a singer for the Ministry of Justice.
On stage, she's backed by a full live band — guitar, bass, saxophone, percussion, drums and piano — along with two backing dancers and singers. The show is interactive, with the band and dancers providing the music and Adewale weaving the story of Whitney's life between the songs. The set draws from three decades of hits, with I Wanna Dance With Somebody, I Will Always Love You, The Greatest Love Of All and I'm Every Woman among the songs that make up the evening. It's billed as a tribute production and is not associated with the Estate of Whitney Houston.
