A day of off-lead chaos for dogs with unlimited treats, breed sessions and ball pits at Brewhouse & Kitchen.
Pup Up Café is back in Bournemouth on Saturday 22 August, taking over Brewhouse & Kitchen in Southbourne for a day of off-lead chaos. If you've never come across it, the whole thing is pretty simple: they turn a venue into a secure, off-lead playground for dogs and their owners, so your dog can just run around and be a dog without the lead getting in the way. There are ball pits, tunnels, and photo opportunities to get stuck into, and the treats are unlimited.
It's a travelling events company that specialises in breed-specific days across the country, with local businesses catering to the particular breed on the day. They also do 'Puppuccinos' made just for the dogs, so they've got their own drinks while you've got yours. The team behind it has been in the events industry for over ten years and the dog-owning industry for more than twenty-five, and it all started back in 2018 with their first Dachshund event.
Since then, they've done a fair bit more than just breed days. They hosted the London film premiere of Clifford The Big Red Dog, ran council-led sessions on responsible dog ownership, and put on luxury private dog birthday parties and corporate 'bring your dog to work' days. They also launched their first dog festival in 2023 and have run 'All Paws' welcome events in cities across the UK. Manager Ellie Wallace describes the energy in the room as 'completely unmatched' and says it's 'basically impossible to walk out... without a massive smile on your face'.
