Pottery Painting

Pottery Painting is running at All Fired Up in Bournemouth town centre from Sunday 27 September to Thursday 11 October, with sessions from 11:00am to 4:30pm each day. It's a paint-your-own pottery studio and an independent coffee shop in one, so you can work on your ceramics with a drink and a slice of cake on the table.

The way it works is simple: you pick something to paint from a wide selection of items on the shelves, then spend the next hour or two getting it just how you want it. A typical session takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, and once you've finished, the studio takes over from there. Your piece is fired in the kiln and ready for collection in about seven days, so you'll have to pop back a week later to pick up the finished thing.

It's pitched as a group activity, and that's where it works best. It's a good fit for families, friends, hen groups or team events, and since the sessions run throughout the day, you can slot it in whenever suits your crowd. If you're looking for something a bit bigger, they also run evening sessions outside their usual opening hours that can hold up to 50 people at once.

While you're painting, there are freshly made hot and cold drinks and cake on offer, so you can keep the coffee flowing while you work. The sessions run from 11:00am to 4:30pm daily from 27 September to 11 October, and the studio is right in Bournemouth town centre.
