Free outdoor yoga sessions suitable for all ages and abilities, held every Sunday morning throughout the summer.
Park Yoga is back in Bournemouth this Sunday, 28 June, as part of a summer-long run of free outdoor sessions. It's a national charity initiative that brings yoga into the park, and the whole thing is built around getting people moving together in the open air. They describe it as a way to improve physical and mental health while fostering joy, connection, and a sense of community, and that's exactly what it feels like on the ground.
The sessions are inclusive and welcoming, open to all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Whether you've never stepped on a mat in your life or you've been practising for years, you'll fit in. It's designed to be accessible, so you don't need to be flexible or experienced to join in. The whole point is to get out there and move, regardless of where you're starting from.
This is part of a wider 2026 season that runs from Sunday 3 May right through to Sunday 13 September, with sessions every Sunday morning. In Bournemouth, they take place at the Central Gardens from 09:30 to 10:30 AM. It's free to attend and there's no need to book; you just turn up on the day. All you'll need to bring is a mat — a towel or a blanket works just as well — a bottle of water, and a friend if you fancy it.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Bournemouth and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Because it's outdoors, the sessions depend on the weather, though they'll still go ahead in light rain. If things are looking too wet, they announce any cancellations on their local Facebook pages at least an hour before the start, so it's worth keeping an eye on that if the clouds look heavy. Park Yoga is a registered charity, and they invite anyone who can to make a donation to help them keep these sessions running year after year. It's 09:30 to 10:30 AM at the Central Gardens, free and open to everyone.
